AJ Small Projects 2025

Now in its 30th year, AJ Small Projects, run in association with Marley, celebrates completed projects with a contract value of £399,000 and under.

AJ Small Projects launched for the first time in 1995 with Anthony Grimshaw Associates winning the inaugural award in 1996 for Garden Gazebo. Since then, the intention has remained the same: to give much-deserved recognition to schemes realised at a more modest cost.

From home extensions to workspaces, restaurants to shop fit-outs, pavilions to small houses, architects all over the country are busy working on projects that may not make headlines but nevertheless demonstrate the strength of design talent across the UK today.

All the projects entered for AJ Small Projects will be featured in the AJ Buildings Library with the shortlisted projects published in the AJ in April 2025. To celebrate the 30th year of AJ Small Projects, we're exclusively offering all entrants a 40% discount on AJ subscriptions.
